Tucked into a redwood grove, this Oakland park has a genuine sense of place that most urban dog runs can't match. Separate sections for large and small dogs, water fountains, wood chip ground cover, and generous shade make it one of the more complete off-leash facilities in the area. Expect muddy conditions after rain, and note that on summer weekends the park closes early when the nearby Woodminster Theatre has evening performances.
